Here are a few Lenati team members sharing their thoughts on what it's like to work at Lenati.
Dailah - Consultant
Q: How does Lenati differ
from other companies?
A: I’ve either worked as a consultant
or I’ve worked in the corporate environment where it’s been
a completely different experience.
When I was on my own, you don’t have the benefit of
getting feedback to know that your ideas are on the right
track. Moving
from a corporate environment, I think the stress level is
reduced quite dramatically.
Obviously there are stressful situations here too
where you’re meeting deadlines or your client is being
difficult but those are short-term experiences and there’s
light at the end of the tunnel; you know it’s not going to
be long-term. The pressures of working in-house is pretty
high and intense and I don’t miss the number of hours I was
expected to work. I love the flexibility here. I have a
better work/life balance then I’ve ever had in my entire
life which is important to me.

Q: What do you love about working at Lenati?
A: Lots of things. I think I would
start with the fact that everyone is super smart and
critical thinkers. We often work independently, but anytime
you want to talk with someone, shoot them an email, meet
them for lunch, they’re always happy to go over what you’re
doing and provide insightful feedback, regardless of their
familiarity with your project.
Kristi - Consultant
Q: Tell me about your first impressions?
A: I
found a consistent story among everybody that it was a
really good place with smart people doing a job where they
actually had an impact and were making a difference. It was
very intriguing that people were having results and liked
what they were doing.
Michael - Consultant
Q: How would you describe a great potential employee?
A: I think somebody that can make a good consultant is flexible, adept at change, has the personality for interpersonal relationships and kind of has a bit of a thick skin. These pieces are super necessary. If you’re able to engage them on a personal level and advise, it helps get you past the veneer of “I’m a consultant, you’re a client” attitude which can be a common starting point. If you’re an individual who is super structured who wants things to go sequentially, it’s going to be challenging. We always try to lay it out that way, but every project starts with a defined problem that we solve but opens up into many more issues that need to be addressed. You have to be really flexible, creative and have a personality to connect with people.

Q: What did you learn
about Lenati that was compelling?
A: I learned how they had been nominated for best workplace
which is really meaningful as I was looking to start a new
career. I think that I’m at the point where work/life
balance is really important to me: having that supportive,
collaborative environment is really important so that was a
great first sign. And then, just feeling like everyone I
reached out to was so helpful and willing to talk with me.
Just feeling like the people were really approachable and
helpful.
