Dailah - Consultant
Q: How does Lenati differ from
other companies?
A: I’ve either worked as a consultant
or I’ve worked in the corporate environment where it’s been
a completely different experience. When I was on my own, you don’t have the benefit of
getting feedback to know that your ideas are on the right
track. Moving
from a corporate environment, I think the stress level is
reduced quite dramatically. Obviously there are stressful situations here too
where you’re meeting deadlines or your client is being
difficult but those are short-term experiences and there’s
light at the end of the tunnel; you know it’s not going to
be long-term. The pressures of working in-house is pretty
high and intense and I don’t miss the number of hours I was
expected to work. I love the flexibility here. I have a
better work/life balance then I’ve ever had in my entire
life which is important to me.
Q: How is Lenati perceived?
A: I don’t think there are a lot of boutique consulting firms here in the Seattle area so I think we have a unique opportunity especially based on the individuals that we have here to expand the awareness of our brand. Also, I think there’s a sense of the quality of work that Lenati puts out. Nobody puts out shabby work. It’s all high quality and there is a lot of shared knowledge and IP.
Q: What would you like to share
about Lenati?
A: I like the diverse background of
personnel who work here. The people we have working here all
come from various backgrounds and the ability to learn from others is
great here. Some projects you’re on your own and some you’re
teamed up with other folks here from the firm. But either
way you can easily reach out to anyone that perhaps has a
level of expertise in an area you don’t. I feel like there’s
a really good sense of help even though you’re not working
day in and day out with everyone but everyone is readily
available.
Q: What been your favorite
project here at Lenati and why?
A: My best project so far to date has
been a project
where we were asked to come in and take a pilot program, create some structure and process and be able to package
that and have it ready to roll out to the field and
get it ready for FY11 Launch.
Obviously it lent to my back background
and being able to take something that was important to the
client and be able to give it life beyond the small pilot
program. A lot needed to be done in a short period of time.
There was a lot of diversity in what needed to be done and
the team itself was a great group of people who were
passionate about what was happening. That lent to good
things happening.
